What we are looking for

Strong contributions start with a specific question, habit, comparison or cultural detail, then explain why it matters to a general reader. We welcome clear, original writing that can be useful without statistics, unverified claims or first-hand testing. A pitch should name its intended reader, its main idea and what makes the subject distinct from our existing coverage.

A focused proposal

Use the Contact page to send a short summary, a working title and a few lines about the piece's shape. Mention any relevant sources or access needs, and disclose financial or other interests that could affect the work. Please propose an idea rather than sending a finished article unsolicited.

How we work

We consider pitches for fit, clarity and originality; a submission is not a promise of publication. If a proposal moves forward, we may discuss scope, editing and attribution before work begins. Contributors should be comfortable with edits that improve accuracy and readability, while preserving the piece's central argument.
